You're thrilled to bits. Your MVHR system installation is now complete but before you say goodbye to your installer here's list of things that you need to ask and the paperwork/instructions that you need to have in your possession:
System Overview and Documentation

Operational Demonstration
As your installer to demonstrate the operation of the MVHR system until you are happy, showing you how to turn it on and off, adjust settings, and switch between different modes. Who do you call if you forget how something works or if you need to make changes and you're not sure how to?
Filter Inspection and Replacement Instructions

Control Settings and Usage

Ventilation Rates and Balancing
Ensure that the installer has balanced the ventilation rates and airflows for each room and has provided documentation of these measurements.
Condensate Drainage System
Check that the condensate drainage system is properly installed and that you know how to inspect and maintain it.
Noise Levels
Verify that the system operates within acceptable noise levels as specified by the manufacturer, both in normal and boost modes.
Safety Features
Confirm that all safety features are functioning correctly, such as frost protection and automatic shutdowns in case of failures.
Energy Efficiency Settings
Make sure the system is optimised for energy efficiency and that you understand any relevant settings that can help maintain this efficiency.
Maintenance and Service Schedule
Obtain a clear maintenance and service schedule from the installer, including the recommended intervals for professional servicing and any specific tasks you need to perform regularly.
By ensuring these items are checked and understood, you can help ensure your MVHR system operates efficiently and effectively.
